Reviews WINDS OF WYOMING A KATE NEILSON NOVEL

Reviews

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It is kind of a western, romance, mystery all rolled into one great book. Janice B.

I finished Winds of Wyoming yesterday and will be posting feedback on Amazon. I thought it would be a chick flick type of book, but no, it is great reading for both sexes. In fact, the last couple of chapters got me in trouble (with myself) as I kept reading until the end, even though I had chores to finish. Steve B.

Just finished your novel. Really enjoyed it. All your characters were alive and believable. I especially liked Dymple. Should be a “Best Seller.” Charley S.

I stayed up way too late last night and got up way too early. So tired today, and I blame you. Your book was great! ( :  Started last night and finished this morning - thanks for the great read. I was impressed with the many layers of plot and thankful you answered all the questions I had by the end. I know that Ray Ellis compared you to Dee Henderson, which I can see, but your style also reminded me of Mary Higgins Clark in how you kept me turning the pages. Looking forward to the sequel! Heather H.

I downloaded Winds of Wyoming on my Kindle Sunday night. I finished it Wednesday afternoon. Wow, what a great book. I had trouble putting it down and just wanted to keep reading. Great job! I want to see more! The book showed God's grace and forgiveness and the rebuilding of lives. Thanks.

I so thoroughly enjoyed Winds of Wyoming. Oh, my goodness, I could not put it down and spent ALL my spare time and then some reading it. I was vacuuming on Saturday evening as I spent a great portion of Saturday finishing it up. Hard to believe that was the author’s first novel. Really encouraged my heart about the reality of Romans 8:28. Emma

Have to say that when I first saw how thick this book is, I thought, Oh, my! Will I ever finish it? However, I was kind of sad when I finished it and had to leave my new friends! I can hardly wait for the next Kate Neilson novel! Patricia D.

I am really enjoying your book!!!! Though it’s been keeping me up too late at night. ;-) For the first time in years, I actually finished reading a whole book (very short attention span)! Winds of Wyoming was a great read by my Aunt Becky Carey Lyles! Liana C.

I want you to know how much I enjoyed your Winds of Wyoming book, Becky. That is one of the best I have ever read. I am not a fast reader, so it takes me a long time to finish a book. It is one of those books I could not put down. Please let me know when you have another book out. They are all “cannot put this book down” types. Debby W.

I pampered myself yesterday and today – after all the holiday busyness – by reading your book. I thoroughly enjoyed it! It's a great adventure and I loved the happy ending! I had to laugh all the way through at Dymple because my mother-in-law did that with her words, and my husband also has the trait! He will often mirror his mom in saying a word that starts with the right letter but is totally out of context with the rest of the sentence. Except, of course, he realizes he does it and we always get a good laugh. Becca H.

I loved Winds of Wyoming, by Rebecca Carey Lyles. I treated myself to a good read for New Year's Day, 2013 – and what a perfect way to start the New Year! This book is not only an exciting adventure that keeps you racing against the clock to see how much you can devour before having to put your marker in and get something done; it's a wonderful mixture of Life's truest elements. The message is clear that no matter where we've come from or where we're going, there is a plan for each of us that can unfold behind the scenes of our earthly struggle and bring hope, peace, security, and joy into our lives. No one is perfect, but God's love goes beyond all imperfections to mold us and fill us in a way our own efforts never could, if we will just open our hearts. I will look forward to the sequel! I downloaded your book “Winds of Wyoming” on my Kindle and absolutely loved it!!!! I even read straight through the acknowledgement (which was also well written I might add). As I was reading, I kept forgetting that it was written by someone I knew as it read just like all the other Best Sellers. You are truly very talented and I was very impressed and I read a lot of books. You obviously did your research. I learned a lot about nature, animals, flowers and now I want to work at Whispering Pines Guest Ranch and meet Dymple! Great cast of characters. When can we expect a sequel? Wanda N.

I enjoyed this book more than I had expected. I'm not one for westerns, and I was at first concerned that this book was going to be in the “Louis L'Amour” sort of genre. I quickly found that this book is set in current times, and that Wyoming is just the setting for an interesting story involving human relations, life choices, and redemption.

The characters and the story are well done. The protagonist characters are relate-able, and the antagonist characters are over-the-top bad! The plot line is well thought out, and kept me engaged through the entire book.

The Christian themes are not at all overbearing, and serve to give the story and characters a realistic structure. The real life problems and events that the characters go through are all well written. I especially liked how the author showed how people misunderstand each other by their assumptions, their attitudes, and presumptions about what the other person is thinking. There were times I just wanted to tell the two main characters: “Just talk to each other and listen to each other.” The tension the author created in these moments was very well done.

I do recommend this book for those who enjoy clean and exciting dramatic fiction that has meaning and depth. Michael S.

I have enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to anyone. I enjoyed this story enough that I'll be watching for the sequel. Wyoming boy, Lorin Y.

Just finished Winds of Wyoming! The characters were so engaging! When does the sequel come out? Sherry G.

Loved it and was very interesting. The suspense and mystery was good. I loved the theme of accepting our past, present and future. Jay

So, my mom bought Winds of Wyoming on Amazon. She and her mom, who is 95, have story time every night because ol' gramma just can't read anymore, though it's been one of her life loves. Just wanted to let you know that they're both having a ball reading your work. They're halfway through (though gramma insisted that my mom skip to the last two pages so she could be assured it was worth her time). Chris W.

This was a very good story that held my interest so well that I had to spend the whole day reading. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to reading other books by this author. B. Hornbuckle

What a wonderful book this was! It had a little bit of everything; romance, mystery, and a truly evil bad guy and girl that kept you rooting for the heroine. I wanted to jump into the book and take them down myself. I couldn't put this book down, and I can't wait to see what Ms. Lyles comes up with next!!
